Hall’s Culligan of San Diego Attends California Capitol Day

Exciting news from Hall’s Culligan of San Diego!

Last month, members of our San Diego team traveled to Sacramento to represent Hall’s Culligan Water during California Capitol Day alongside leaders from across the bottled water industry.

During the event, the group met with state lawmakers and regulators to discuss issues affecting businesses, consumers, recycling efforts, and access to safe, reliable bottled water throughout California. These conversations provided an opportunity to share real-world perspectives and educate decision-makers on the impact regulations can have on the communities we serve.

Their efforts helped support Assembly Bill 1780 (AB 1780), legislation that would exempt bottled water and juice donated to nonprofit organizations from California Redemption Value (CRV) fees. The bill aims to reduce unnecessary costs for charitable organizations receiving donated beverages while maintaining the integrity of California’s recycling program.

Following these discussions, AB 1780 passed the California Assembly with unanimous bipartisan support in a 61-0 vote and will now advance to the next stage of the legislative process.

We are proud of Judy Jimenez, Jessica Armstrong, Robert Kitzman, and their industry partners for representing Hall’s with professionalism and integrity. Their participation reflects our commitment to supporting our customers, our communities, and the future of the water industry.
